What is the SpacerShield Protection Plan?
This protection plan is a supplemental plan provides vehicle coverage through Spacer by our partner, ParkGuard. The plan covers certain vehicle damage and theft up to a pre-determined amount for a fee while your vehicle is parked at one of our participating facilities.
What is Covered by the SpacerShield Protection Plan?
The SpacerShield Protection Plan covers accidents, burglary, fires, explosions, and vandalism incidents that happen to your vehicle while parked on the facility premises. Coverage varies based on the plan level purchased. Depending on the plan coverage and the type of damage incurred at the facility, a valid claim may be eligible for maximum plan limit payouts.

How Much is the SpacerShield Protection Plan?
The fee may vary based on location. The protection plan offers a maximum amount of $1,000 in protection for theft and damages. Coverage is for periods while the vehicle is parked. The protection plan coverage may vary based on the plan you choose or the plan available at the parking facility you use. At certain times Spacer and ParkGuard may choose to offer multiple plans with different coverage limits for different fee amounts.
Is the SpacerShield Protection Plan Offered for All Locations?
No. The SpacerShield Protection Plan is not offered at all locations. Spacer and ParkGuard, at their sole discretion, decide at which facilities the SpacerShield Protection Plan is offered. If the location does not have the option to purchase the SpacerShield Protection Plan during the booking process or you are not subsequently offered the ability to purchase the coverage, then the plan is not offered at the associated location.
How does the Claim Process work?
The claims process is completed using ParkGuard's Claims portal at www.parkguardcoveragehub.com/spacerclaims. In certain cases, when filing a claim, ParkGuard may require additional information such as proof of payment, photos, and/or a police report. All theft claims require a police report. Claims need to be filed within 72 hours of discovery of the theft or damage to the covered vehicle. You may use this link to start the claim process www.parkguardcoveragehub.com/spacerclaims. Is the SpacerShield Protection Plan Insurance?
No, the SpacerShield Protection Plan is not insurance. The plan is a supplement designed to help cover vehicle damage in the case of an accident or theft but is not a replacement or substitute for a vehicle insurance plan.
Is the SpacerShield Protection Plan Optional?
Yes. You decide whether you want to purchase the protection when you book your reservation and request a parking space (or if you are subsequently offered the option to purchase the protection plan). If you choose not to accept the protection plan, this means that you will not have any coverage offered through the SpacerShield Protection Plan in the case of theft, an accident or damage to your vehicle while your vehicle is parked at the facility.
What is the benefit of having the SpacerShield Protection Plan?
You will be able to avoid out of pocket expenses for damages such as door dings, scratches, or theft that are not covered by your standard vehicle insurance or require a costly deductible. You will have peace of mind knowing you have supplemental protection for your vehicle and contents while you are parked.
