Toronto's Historic Distillery District is located on the east end of the city near Leslieville. In the last 10 years, what was once a derelict group of Victorian Industrial distilleries, is now a beautiful collection of restaurants, condominiums, shops, art galleries and cafes. The cobble stones and architecture of the Distillery are so beautiful they are often the backdrop of engagement and wedding photos and one can't help but marvel at its beauty. Every year in December the area is transformed into an outdoor Christmas Market where local Toronto vendors sell food, drinks and hot chocolate under twinkling Christmas lights. Soulpepper Theatre, once of Canada's most acclaimed theatre companies is also based out of the Distillery District and a visit to The Mill Street Brew Pub is a must. There is a combination of underground and street parking available in the area starting at $200 a month.
